I wanted to take a closer look at the process of changing the wallpaper on a smartphone, as I’ve mentioned it briefly before. I chose to analyse this process because I imagine the user experience for my app will work in a very similar way. Apple's wallpaper settings offer a simple, intuitive layout where users can easily browse different styles and images, making it quick and easy to personalise their device.

When changing a wallpaper on an iPhone, users are presented with a clean, visual grid of options, often grouped by categories like featured photos, suggested themes, or custom uploads. The process is minimal, visual, and straightforward, which reduces any friction in making a choice. This keeps the experience enjoyable and efficient — something I want to replicate within my app when users select and apply different styles to their smart walls.

I believe Apple's approach to wallpaper customisation is one of the best examples of good user experience in terms of simplicity and clarity. It has definitely inspired me when thinking about how to design the layout and interaction flow for my app. My goal is to create a similarly effortless experience where users can quickly browse, preview, and apply different wall styles without confusion or unnecessary steps.
