Project Title
Poco: Tackling Procrastination in University Life
Context
Supporting university students in managing procrastination, stress, and academic pressure through a digital, personalised solution.
Project Summary
University life comes with unique challenges — balancing academic workloads, social life, and personal wellbeing can easily lead to procrastination.
Poco is a digital tool designed specifically for students, offering personalised strategies to help users plan, stay motivated, and manage tasks effectively.
This project will explore the causes of procrastination in university environments, looking at factors like stress, motivation cycles, and lack of structure. Research methods will include competitor analysis of existing student productivity apps, surveys, and user interviews. Personas and journey maps will be developed to better understand student needs and pain points.
The design process will focus on creating an intuitive, friendly, and motivational experience that adapts to each user’s behaviour over time. The goal is to make Poco feel less like a task manager and more like a supportive study companion.
Outcome
A high-fidelity prototype of Poco — an app offering personalised procrastination support, planning tools, and motivation boosters for university students.
