I experimented with a few different ways to illustrate the head. I thought this version was definitely an improvement compared to the original version but I felt it still wasn’t right. I thought that you still couldn’t tell if it was the front or back of the head, I tried a side profile which i think is suitable in some cases of migraines but not all.
After experimenting with both angles of the head, I thought of trying to combine the two. I felt like I could have the best of both worlds if you could see the front and side of the head.
I’m so pleased with the transformation of this illustration. I think the shape of the head is much clearer so the user can pinpoint the different locations of where the migraine could be, which would result in a better user experience.
Extra Screens
As the illustration has changed to an outlined look, I decided that I would need to change the other icons in order to keep the overall branding consistent.

As well as this, I made minor changes to one of the personal information screens for the logging area. I decided to remove the day at the top corner as I felt it was unnecessary as the person already knows what day they’re looking at as they seen it in a previous screen. I decided to take the detailed design out as I needed to make the circle smaller in order to make room for arrows so the user can see the information.

I also made some more screens for the app in order to showcase what the app offers.
