Resizing Images

I changed the size of the images and I think it’s much easier to use. I was worried that changing the size of the images would take away from the brands identity, but I think it looks just as good smaller. The app is also easier to use because of these changes, which is most vital.

Extra Screens

Report Section

I expanded on the report section in order to see what the reporting process would be like. I made the process short and simple; a section for the person to choose what sort of issue they want to report, once they did that, they could either upload or take photo of the issue and put in the location of it. Lastly, I included a reported screen to ensure the user that they’ve done it- i put in an encouraging message to ensure that what they’re doing is helping achieve the SDG 9 goals.

Small businesses

I included an article about a small business- to inspire users to come up with innovative ideas to help others, as well as support businesses that align with SDG 9.

Usability Testing

I carried out an in person usability test of the app to see if there was any issues that I didn’t pick up on. I asked my mum and dad separately to see what they thought.

Mum

The first thing that my mum thought was that the first image/ button was there for display, she did’t click on it as she thought it wasn’t clickable- it doesn’t look like a button.

Another thing she pointed out was when she reached the end of the article, she didn’t know how to get back out of it, she had to scroll all the way back up which is a bit of an inconvenience.

Dad

My Dad also didn’t know the first image was a link/ button to articles about SDG 9.
