We were introduced to the term ‘Master Apprentice’ which is something i’ve never heard of until now. A master apprentice is when you learn by copying the work of the professional. I have been practicing this technique for as long as I can remember, by learning how to draw, I would have tried to copy an artists piece of work to improve my skills.
These were my first set that I attempted to replicate. I found it quite challenging at the start as I didn’t know how to soften the lines, thankfully I eventually figured it out. I certainly don’t think that they’re perfect, but i’m still pleased as they’re the first icons I created.
I’m pleased with how this set turned out, I think they’re slightly more accurate compared to my other set. I personally feel like I have learnt so much by replicating these icons, especially when it comes to techniques on Figma and it has built my confidence on how to create a good icon for my music app.
