I found this module to be both interesting and beneficial for my future, particularly the advice on workplace etiquette and interview techniques. These are skills I know will be crucial as I transition into the professional world. While there weren’t as many creative projects as I initially expected, I still really enjoyed the content, which surprised me since I tend to gravitate toward more hands-on, creative work. However, the practical elements of the module proved to be just as valuable, offering insights I hadn’t anticipated.
One of the highlights of the module for me was the pitch presentation. It’s one of my favourite projects to date because I had a personal connection to the idea, which made the process even more enjoyable. The topic was something I’m passionate about, and I feel it reflects my interests and values. I could definitely see myself developing this idea further for my final year project. Additionally, I’m really happy with the design of my CV and portfolio. I feel that both accurately represent who I am, showcasing my skills and personality in a way that feels authentic to me.
On the flip side, I did spend a bit too much time focusing on perfecting my CV and portfolio. As a result, I found myself allocating less time to other tasks. I struggled to find a good balance between the various projects and keeping up with the weekly blogs. This made it challenging to manage my workload effectively, and I realised that I could have been more efficient with my time.
Going forward, I really hope to improve my time management skills. I want to learn how to better balance the time I spend on projects with the time I dedicate to other tasks, like updating my blog and completing smaller assignments. By being more mindful of my schedule, I hope to avoid spending too much time on one area and ensure that I can give equal attention to all aspects of my work. This will be crucial as I move into more demanding projects in the future.
