For our second Project, we were given the task to design a poster for one of the articles from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

I came across this book and i really liked the use of a fingerprint, as I thought it was quite impactful.

My initial sketches for this project were of these fingerprints and I really like the idea of incorporating fingerprints as it’s about human rights, and I think it represents human rights really well.

This was my first attempt at drawing this design up in Figma, and after multiple attempts of making the design work, I couldn’t figure out a way to draw the fingerprint digitally. This upset me as I really liked the idea.

After this, I had to come up with brand new designs.

I really like the sleek designs of Apple’s branding to promote their products. The designs are simple, yet effective. A very simple typeface is used but they bring an exciting twist with the use of a brightly coloured ombré that’s adopted in the typography. I personally think it’s what makes the overall branding of Apple. I would love to incorporate a style similar to this in my poster.

These are my very rough sketches for my second set of designs. My thought process for this design was to make it as clean and simple as possible.
