After finalising my high-fidelity screens, it was time to move on to prototyping the app.

I kept the prototyping process fairly simple. From past experience, I’ve learned that trying to overcomplicate things often didn’t end well. Luckily, Poco didn’t require any complex prototyping techniques beyond what I already knew. I'm sure there were easier or faster ways to prototype certain elements, but as long as everything worked smoothly, I was happy with the result.

My Component Library

I also created a component library. I needed a wide variety of buttons because I wanted parts of the app to feel personal and closely reflect Poco’s brand tone — friendly, approachable, and motivating.

This was by far the biggest project I’ve ever prototyped, with so many pages to link together! Overall, I think I handled it well. Prototyping is still a skill I’m working to sharpen — it’s definitely my weakest area in the design process. That said, I’m really proud of how smoothly I was able to prototype this app. It felt refreshing, and I can see just how much I’ve improved.
