A UX tender document, often referred to as a Request for Proposal (RFP), is a formal document used by an organisation to outline the scope, objectives, and requirements for a UX design project. It serves as a guide for potential vendors—such as UX design agencies or professionals—by clearly communicating the project’s goals, expectations, and selection criteria. A well-structured tender document helps vendors understand the project’s needs and allows organisations to compare proposals effectively.

I read Chapter 3 of this book, and I found it extremely helpful in clarifying exactly what should be included in a tender document. It was particularly useful for explaining the legislative aspects, which I hadn’t fully considered before. This section provided a clear breakdown of the legal requirements and contractual obligations involved, which will definitely be valuable to reference in the future. Having a solid understanding of this side of the process will ensure I'm better equipped to handle tender documents professionally going forward.

Titanic Quarter

I decided to research the Titanic Quarter and all it’s features as i’m not familiar with the area.

Titanic Quarter is rapidly becoming a focal point for Belfast for fun and leisure – from the high profile lifestyle, sporting and conferencing events in the Titanic Exhibition Centre to a relaxing meal or coffee in one of the area’s many restaurants and cafes, and there’s also a marina and the adjacent SSE Arena entertainment complex.

Titanic Belfast

The titanic doesn’t offer a virtual tour/ experience, this would be something i’d like to explore further.

Palace of Versailles Virtual Tour

I decided to take a look at the Palace of Versailles Virtual Tour and see what kind of features it offers. I thought this was a brilliant virtual tour as it had many ways to discover new rooms which I felt was really helpful. You had the option of a map and images to see what room you could explore. As well as this, there was information buttons throughout the tour which gave you the historical facts of a particular piece. It really felt like you were there on an actual tour. It also offered a feature to play classical music in the background which I felt was a nice touch. It was a very calming experience and it felt very special.
