After conducting research into the challenges faced by hotel managers, Airbnb hosts, event space owners, and guests, I developed a series of user needs statements. These statements helped me clearly define what my target users are looking for in a solution and allowed me to keep their real-world struggles and goals at the centre of my design process.
By identifying their key needs β such as the desire for flexible, easily updated spaces, maintaining a luxurious atmosphere for guests, reducing operational downtime, and standing out in a competitive market β I was able to better tailor my concept for Moda to address these points directly.
Creating user needs statements has been incredibly helpful, as it pushed me to think beyond just the aesthetic appeal of the smart wall system. It grounded my idea in functionality and usability, making sure that Moda isnβt just beautiful, but truly valuable for the businesses and designers who will use it.

This exercise was extremely useful in helping me develop my brand and product direction. By focusing on user needs early in the project, I now have a much stronger foundation to build on. It ensures that Moda is aligned with real customer problems and desires, which will ultimately make the brand more relevant, impactful, and successful.
