In Week 10 of the semester, we had a student advisory meeting with our lecturer and we continued independent work.
This week’s class wasn’t necessarily content focused, but I still found it useful as I got to talk to my lecturer about how I feel about the course.
A student advisory meeting consists of bringing up any queries we had and to give feedback to the university about how our course is. My meeting wasn’t too long as I thoroughly enjoy this course, in fact I’m enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. Therefore, I didn’t have any issues to bring up with my tutor. I brought up to my tutor that I found the master appreciate tasks helpful as I’m more familiar with Figma. My lecturer suggested how we would need a technician to help us learn the software as our they don’t have the time to give us tutorials on how to use the software, which I totally understand.
Dr Boyd gave me some valuable advice, which was to complete some of my own projects over summer so that I could put more work into my portfolio for placement. I found this very helpful and I will definitely take his advice on board.
