In this weeks lesson, we looked at logos and their importance in design.

Logotypes

Pictoral

A pictorial mark is an icon or graphic-based logo. I would like to explore this option for my brand as it’s creative and one of my brands values is creativity.

Abstract

Abstract logos express multiple concepts and feelings in a single symbol, making them a popular choice for brands who have a lot to say. These logos can include line-drawn symbols, shapes, patterns, or illustrations that communicate a brand's message using non-literal imagery. As I mentioned previously, these are very creative, and as one of my brands values is creativity, I would like to explore this option when designing my logo.

Monogram

A monogram logo is a decorative design made up of a combination of one to three letters (traditionally three) to create a single symbol. Monograms are commonly used to represent the initials of a person or business, they are commonly used in the fashion industry. I’ll consider using a monogram for my logo as it’s classy and it could represent the language aspect of my brand.
