New Wave Typography

Wolfgang Weingart became one of the leaders of new wave typography. His experimentations where he explores when does typography become a form/letter of its own. Design became mathematical and orthodox, there was no freedom of expression. Weingart also embraced colage, he wanted to be more expressive in his designs, all of his work was done by hand which is crazy to me as his work looks like digital pieces.

April Grieman was one of the first designers to use the mac/computer in their work, which is something I found fascinating. I love the use of colour in this particular piece.

Punk music played a massive part in Postmodernism as it influenced designers work as there was no rules or boundaries.
